Skittles Report - Analysis

Did your results surprise you? Was your hypothesis correct? Do your results apply to other bags of candy, such as M&Ms? How do your results from your skittles experiment apply to other bags of candies? If we used bigger bags of skittles will your results be different?

Yes my results did suprise me.My hypothesis was half correct.Yes if we used bigger bags of skittles there would be diffirent results. This experiment can be used with diffrent types of cadies such as M&Ms.

Yes I thought that there would be the same number of candies in each bag.No I thought there would be thirty six candies. Most likely but not the flavors.Just by how many in each bag but not the flavor.Yes because there might be more red than purple this time.

My results did surprise me. My hypothesis was incorrect, because most of the bags had more lime or lemon than strawberry. My results do not apply to M&Ms because they have some colors that Skittles do not have. They may apply IF the other bags of candy had the same colors, if they did, they would probably round to the same amount of strawberries as the bag I had. It may, or may not. It really just depends if we try the experiment again. Then we will see.

My results did not suprise me.My hypothisis was right each bag had diffrent amounts of flavors. Some had more grape than others. I was aslo right that some flavors are more popular than other. Like me my favorite flavors are strawberry, orange and kind of grape. leslie

my results surprised me because i though that the most popular candy that i like is the strawberry flavor but in the bag i did not have enough strawberry flavor. my hypothesis was correct. i still don't know if my results apply to bags of M&ms. they apply to other bags of candy because not ally bags of candy have the same amount of things in each bag. my results would be different if i used a bigger bag.

My results did surprise me because my hypothesis was right. My results could possibly apply to other bags of candy but not exactly. They apply to them because now I know not expect the same amount in two different bags of any candy. Our results would definitely change if we bigger they would increase or decrease.

Melissa said...

My results did not suprise me. My hypothesis was partly correct. If we used bigger bags of skittles, my results possibly would have been diffrent. Maybe, my results from the skittles bag would have been the same to a bag of M&Ms. I don't know but there is a possibility.

The results suprised me My hypothesis was not correct I thought it was I handful of Like about forty but there was like around 60. If we used bigger bags of skittles the result would be really different.

In think that if we had bigger bags there would be bigger and better and way different results. The results didn't really shock me that much.

Greg-O said...

My results didn't surprise me at all. Every time I get a bag of Skittles to eat I mostly get a lot of lemon and lime. I usually get the least amount of orange. That was my results so my hypothesis was correct. I don't think they apply to M$Ms. The Skittles apply to other bags of candy because there are some candies with the sames flavors. I think if I used a bigger bag of Skittles the results would be different.

Yes, my results did surprise me. No, my hypothesis was not correct.Probably if we used bigger bags of skittles there would be different results. This expereiment can be used with m&ms.

Pedro said...

My results surprised me. My hypothesis was wrong. No they don't apply to other bags cause its a different product. The colors might apply to other bags. Yes the results would be different cause more skittles can fit in a bigger bag.

maria said...

The results kind of surprised me.
my hypothesis was kind of correct. If we used bigger bags of skittles our results would be different. If the candy bag is the same size as the skittles bag, it may apply. My results may apply to other bags of candy, such as M&Ms.

George Waw said...

I was surprised by my results. I thought there would be more red ones because they are popular.M&ms might have near and equal amount because the coat doesn't really give a lot of taste. People mostly like it for the chocolate. We might get more or different results if we used bigger bags of skittles.

Kel said...

My results did surprise me! My hypothesis was INCORRECT!!! My results did apply to other bags of candy, such as M&M's! My bag of skittles apply to others by the candies in the bags. If we used bigger bags, my results will be different because it will be more candies in the big bags.

Nico! said...

My results surprised me. My hypothesis was right and wrong. My hypothesis said that there will be more strawberry flavored and lime flavored skittles then any other flavors. They was more lime flavored skittles than any other flavor but there wasn't that much strawberry flavored skittles. Yes it does apply to other candies. It does because I have to tell which is more popular. Yes it would be different because there will be more skittles

Anonymous said...

No my results did not surprise me. My hypothesis was incorrect. I think by the amount of the candy. I guess by the amount. Yes my results will be different because it will have different amounts and maybe different colors.

Carlos Fuentes said...

my results did surprise me because i thought that all the bags had different amount. My hypothesis was correct i did prove it.i think that my results dont compare to m&M'S.I THINK THAT IF We used a bigger bag of skittles that the results would change.

sabrina said...

My results did surprise me. My hypothesis was incorrect. My results don't apply to other bags like M$Ms because the don't have the same amount of flavors. My results can apply to other bags of candy only by the amount of candies in each bag. If we used a bigger bag then our results wil change.

Anonymous said...

My surprises kind of surprised me. My hypothesis was incorrect. My hypothesis was that there would be more red than any other color. They probably apply by the amount of the candy if they are the same sized bags. The results would probably be differrent by amount. I think that because bigger bags probabaly have more candy in it.

Heather said...

I was suprised with my results because I thought I would get different results than what I did get. I also foud out that my hypothesis was wrong too. I bet if I did m&m's I would have a closer hypothesis because I know what types are in the bag and I know which is more popular than others. This experiment aplys to other candy's because some people want to know how many candies are in each bag and what flavors are in there too. If we used bigger bags of skittles I would of have had a big difference in my answers. Well this project was really intresting.

My results were different than what I expected. I got 61 skittles in one bag and my hypothesis was wrong. I got more skittles in one bag than I thought I would. I don't think the same results would come up with another bag of candies such as M&Ms. And yes I think that we will get more larger results if we used bigger bags of Skittles. These were results for my Skittles Project.

Collin said...

My results suprised me. My hypothesis was incorrect. The results are probably the same as M&M bags if the M&M bags are the same size. My results probably apply to other bags of candy because maybe every other kind of candy that is like skittles has the same amount. The results would be different if the bag was bigger because it probably has more in it.

My hypothesis was partly right because I found strawberry, lime, grape, orange, and lemon. I didn't find watermelon. The bags weighed differently and the number was different as well. If we had bigger bags there would be a difference.

AIR said...

I wasn't really surprised by the results. My Hypothesis was incorrect. I think the M&Ms factory might have different factory settings so the results from the skittles would be different. My results apply to other skittles bags because if the bags are wighted then they are most likely apply to the others. Bigger bags would make a difference because the numbers in the bag would be different.

Abe said...

My hypothesis was incorrect. It was that if I pull out a random amount of skittles from a bag of skittles, There would be the same amount of that one to other flavors. Skittles are the best!!!!!!

Raquel said...

My results suprise me.I thought in the bags there would be more lime in each bag ,but by my experiment it showed thatin the bags ther is more strawberry.I was correct in some ways because lime was second place. If I using bigger bags i think my results would not change because it is just using a larger portion.

My guesses for the skittles project was a little wrong.I had more flavors i wanted in the bag i had less of what i disliked.I had more strawberry and i less of the lime and orange.I liked the skittles project because we were able eat our skittles after we finished our project.

And Yes I was surprised what the results were that I got. And Yes my hypothesis was correct. And Mo M&M's have different. And they don't apply to other candies. And yes if we used a bigger bag of Skittles we would have different results.

My results did surprise me. Myy hypothesis was incorrect. I have no idea if the two bags are the same. There are different flavors in other bags too. There would be more skittles in a bigger bag.

araceli said...

My results did surprise. My hypothesis was incorret. I though that in each bag there will about 20 skittles. Then I saw my results and the minimum is about 34, and the maximun is about 76. It does not apply to other bags of candies. I think if we use a bigger bag of skittes the results will defenily be different.

Fulper's Blog said...

The results I got from the bag was completely different from what I guessed. Most of the flavors were the same except for Cherry. It was supposed to be Strawberry. My results did surprise me. I thought there was going to be at least 30 skittles in teh bag but there was 60. I was 30 off. So my hypothesis was incorrect. There would be a different result if we had a bigger bag. My bag of candies were close to others who had the same size as me. My bag would be the same as m'n' m!

Since I didn't bring any skittles or any mony so I didn't get any results. But I did get results from my friends and it suprised me that all my friends had the same number of skittles but had diffrent number of coloer. If the bag was bigger, it would change everything. There would be more skittles and diffrent results. It might be the same whith m&m's but not exsatly. I could of see if my hypothess was correct, but since I had no skittles, I can't tell.

cindy♥♥ said...

Yes my results did surprise me because I expected to find thiry skittles and I found twentyfive skittles. No, my hypothesis was incorrect by five skittles. No because I have not tried m&m bags. They apply because I could have the same results as the skittles.Yes because there might be more skittles in the bag than a smaller bag.

Well not as much i mean I had a little bag that was it.Most of it was correct wich was about the flavors though.Well you never know if they are the same becuase they might just be wanting more of one color .We didn't have the same results becuase my friend had a big bag and I had a little bag. They probably just have a lot more in the bag becuase its way bigger.

I was really surprised by my results.
My hypothesis was correct i put the flavor that I thought and got it correct. The M&M's probably have the same amount. They apply because M&M's and like other bags candies are the same amount.I think it will be different because there are more Skittles and I would have a bigger amount of Skittles.

My results did surprise me i got the flavors correct but there were more than 45 skittles. only my flavor hypothesis came out true. I don't believe so because m&ms are a little bigger than skittles. they might apply by the kind of flavors there are but not the same amount of candy. If we used a bigger bag the out come would be different.

Actually my results did surprise me. My hypothesis was not totally correct because the amount of flavors was the only thing that was correct. Well my results don't actually apply to other bags because with M&M's the only flavor it has is chocolate and it might have the same pieces of candy. My results apply to other skittles bags by how much flavors each bag has and the total amount of candy it has. If the we used bigger bags the amount of candy would be different and how much flavors are in each bag.
