Class Update

Grades were updated last Friday. The only grade added will be your wikispaces presentation for Environmental Debates or Natural Disaster.

Grades

Grades were updated on Friday June 1, 2007. We only have days left; make sure you get your work turned in!!

We will be presenting the Natural Disaster/Environmental Debates Wikispaces this week. Make sure that your information is posted and that you are ready to present.

6th Grade Year and Grades

The 6th Grade Year needs to be a five paragraph essay written in a newsletter format. It needs to be formatted with 3 columns and justify alignment. It is due Friday, May 25, 2007, for all classes (you will have all classes that day).

The table of contents is a list of all your assignments that will be included in the book (hint: 9 assignments).

Change of Plans

We are putting the Wikispaces Natural Disaster and Environmental Debates on hold. We will be working on writing about our 6th Grade Experience, creating a title page and a table of contents for our books. If you do not want your work bound into a book you do not need to do the table of contents or title page. Everyone must complete the 6th Grade Experience assignment.

You will upload your work onto your personal wikispace. Once you upload the work onto the wikispace, you can download it from home or anyplace.

Wikispaces - Natural Disaster or Environmental Debates

Starting Monday, May 21, 2007 you will be graded on your wikispaces. To receive full credit you'll need to make at least 4 different postings for your topic (natural disasters - one posting in each category).

You will be presenting your wikispaces contribution to the class. You'll evaluate what was easy/difficult using online collaboration and communication to complete a group project.

Report Cards

The grades that are posted today will be on your report cards. You've had plenty of time to make up assignments and raise your grade. Your grade should not be a surprise to you or your parents!!

You can still work to complete the missing assignments for points!!!

Updated Grades

The grades are updated as of today; including journal and agenda points for April. If you have any questions or concerns about your grades, please email me or talk to me during class. You can make up your missing points by completing the assignments. To receive your points for Wikispaces Biomes you'll need to show me your postings during class.

Grades Delayed

Grades will be updated on Tuesday May 8, 2007. Grades are delayed because of the assembly during period 6 on Friday. I won't have enough time to complete all the checks and update all the grades.

April Journal and Agenda Checks

I will be conducting Journal and Agenda checks for the month of April on Thursday and Friday during class. You are required to bring your journal and agenda to class every period; you will not be dismissed to go and get it you forget. If you do not have your journal or agenda in class, you will receive a zero and will not be able to make up the points.
