Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a United States holiday marking the birth date of the Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr., observed on the third Monday of January each year, around the time of King's birthday, January 15.
My 6 year old niece, Emily, learned about Martin Luther King Jr. and that he was one of the main leaders of the American civil rights movement. To honor him she asked her parents if she could make a birthday cake for his birthday. She decided to make star cupcakes instead because Martin Luther King is a star.
What did you do to honor the life of Martin Luther King Jr? What would you like to do next year?

Restaurants
We are creating our excel restaurant receipts in Excel. We are learning how to compute sub-total, tax, tip and total. It is important to make sure that you have enough money to pay the bill when you go out to dinner.
One of my favorite pizza restaurants is The Pie, located near the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. They have great pizza sauce but you better really like the pizza toppings you order because they put A LOT of them on the pizza. Their giant pizza has a 23 inch diameter, which is almost 2 feet wide, a lot of pizza for a lot of people!!
What is your favorite restaurant? What type of restaurant would you like to open?
